Those black streaks on a Florida roof are not dirt. They are a bacteria called Gloeocapsa magma, along with algae and mildew that feed on the limestone in shingles and the surface of barrel tile. High-pressure washing can strip granules, crack tile, and force water under the edges. Soft washing does the opposite: a low-pressure application of a cleaning solution that kills the growth, then a gentle rinse.

How it works
Four steps, no surprises

- The roof is rinsed at low pressure and checked from the ground and the ladder.

Good to know before you book
Is soft washing safe for tile roofs?
Yes. That is why Evan uses it. Tile is porous and brittle; high pressure chips it and forces water under the laps. A soft wash cleans with the solution and a gentle rinse, so the tile is not stressed.
How long does a roof stay clean?
Two to three years is typical on the Treasure Coast, longer on sunny south-facing slopes, shorter under oak canopy or on the shaded north side. Evan can tell you after seeing the roof.
Will it hurt my plants or my pool?
Landscaping is pre-wet and rinsed during the job, and runoff is kept away from the pool. Ask Evan about anything delicate and it gets covered.
Does my insurance company care?
Many Florida carriers now photograph roofs at renewal. A clean roof photographs as a maintained roof. Kingdom Harvest is not an insurance advisor; ask your agent what your policy expects.
